Online Archaeology is currently working on enhancements for the tool. These include:

• enabling MIDAS XML so that we can display external datasets using the heritage data standards. It also means that other applications will be able to share and use our data easily
• overlaying GIS data onto the map by calling external Web Mapping Services

The Google Maps API team are constantly making changes and updates to the API. We look forward to some additional functionality being introduced by the team.
