I am investigating the crash of a Luftwaffe Junkers Ju 88A-4 (Werke.Nr. 3416) from 8/KG30 (4D+GS). It was shot down over Plymouth at 20:35 23NOV41 by PO Dziegielewski & PO Swierz in an RAF Beaufighter MkIIF (Serial No: R2440, code EW-O) from No 307 Sqn, based at Exeter. A/c crashed at Porsham Farm, Tamerton Foliot. Fw P. Klempin, Uffz W. Nolte, Gefr J. Schneiders & Gefr H. Quehl all baled out and were taken prisoner. Some reports state that one was injured and subsequently died. I am trying to trace what happened to the 3/4 PoWs who survived, prior to excavating the aircraft this year. Any leads would be much appreciated as I am having trouble finding a source of PoW lists. 1/5/2010 5:15:35 PM
