| Anyone know where I can get hold of some freely available datasets? I want to start test driving some GIS packages for reviews for the site.

| What datasets do you want?
Raster DEM
Vector TIN
Site excavation (polygons)
Point distributions (finds/sites)
Aerial/satellite imagery
Geophysics
Attribute data (context record)
Also what formats would you prefer?
I tend to go for:
.img for all raster
Geodatabase or Shapefile for Vector (and points)
.img and shapefiles are pretty interoperable although geotiff might be more advisable.

| This is going to be a big learning curve for me.
I'll have to get back to you Ant as we now have a new baby daughter (Ruby) and pretty much full on at work for a while.
