| I'm going to code a module that will display the latest posts on the portal home page. I'll also make it take a paramter so that I can have the latest posts from specific forums for specific pages.
That means that the Books page on the portal for example will show the latest posts from the Books forum. Each statistic will be linked back to the relevant forum.
It's intended to tie the forums into the portals more - I will probably abandon the Forums for registered users on the portal in favour of this open forum.

| Sounds ok, but I must admit I thought the two forums were actually the same thing! Ah well-technophobes of the world unite!.........
Think it's a good idea though-might entice visitors and members alike to follow up the links and explore the site.

| Right, sorted. The forums stats are now active on the relevant portal pages. I now get my 50 posts green star and now for a beer....
