It looks like a bit of progress is being made in this area - at least there's a project team assembled to gather more information and develop and Intellectual Rights Toolkit. This is well overdue in my opinion. Although I don't agree with the concept of the phrase 'Web 2.0' it's being used for this new group: 'Web2.0 Rights Project': http://www.web2rights.org.uk There is a survey to help work out what requirements are needed to build the toolkit: http://www.ssb.plymouth.ac.uk/surveys/WEb2Rights/ Personally I think there should be some kind of developer licence to use all UK archaeology data for development purposes. I'm sure this licenced based approach would see web services opening up all over the place, which they should be. Steve White
