 | | 05 Jun 2004 04:15 PM | | I live pretty close to the Antonine Wall, and its impressive Rough Castle fort. Local authorities are trying to have the wall granted World Heritage Staus (rightly, IMHO).
Rough Castle has some excavated Lilia on the northern side of the vallum. Are there other sites where these have survived, or are these unique?

My partner got a booklet about the Antonine Wall when in Falkirk and it mentions lilia at a number of sites along the wall. I dont have it here but will check it out and post details when Ive had a chance

This is an incredibly comrehensive site, but the owner doesn't rest on his laurels, he's always looking for ways to imrove it. While there is a section on Celtic tribes in England and Wales, he's working on a section for the Caledonian tribes. Personally, I can't wait.
