| British Home Defences 1940-45, by Bernard Lowry, is a new one in my particular interest. The author is a past president of the Fortress Studies Group, which some of you might be familiar with.
This is a lightweight version of the old "Handbook of Twentieth Century Defences in Britain" by the same author, which was the handbook for the Defence of Britain Project. While I haven't manage to get a copy yet, it gets a good review from the various organisations it is intended for.
It's not an exhaustive study(not big enough), but for keeping in the glovebox of the car as a quick reference to something you've just passed by on a Sunday afternoon drive, it's perfectly adequate.
Yours in History,
