I live on vancover island canada and in 1986, i found a mountain that was protected by the herritage laws, till I brought it to the attention of the gov.a miniture mountain was placed in caves thousands of yeears ago and they light up on the solstices. The Heritage conservation act stated .. "heritage" means of historic, architectural, archeological, palaeontogical or scenic significance to the province or a municipality, as the case may be; because the mountain is depicted in the caves, it would have been technicaly protected, i did not know this. unfortunitly in sept 1996 I was beat up and told to drop it. in november 1996 this law was changed. the logging company logged the mountain in the last 10 years,I dont think this was fair for them to change the law in order to be able to log the mountain. these caves light up on the solstice's and they apear to have human faces painted in them. have a look and tell me what you think . you can find pictures and indian legends about them @ http://forest.facts.tripod.com/chieflouie.htm

Cheers Atocha, That's interesting! Have you got any more info on these caves? An interesting experiment would be if you could purchase (or get hold of ) a cheap astronomy programme like Skymap, manually resetting the time scale, and seeing how far back you could find correlations between solstices, eclipses at that location. If you like, I can email a free evaluation copy of Skymap 8 to you. This is a few years old, and doesn't have all the features of the full programme, but it's adequate for my amateur astronomy needs and is very useful. thanks for that, but i am not sure what you mean by , "correlations between solstices, eclipses" . as for how old it is, i took a old indian story teller to the caves, he said they where thousands of years old, and created by a bearded race befor his people. i personaly think it is lumeria, the atlantis of the pacific. the evidance is overwhelming, but there are those who do not want me to reveal it, and they have succeded. this page has a quote from lumerian text about human faces. look close at the pictures i took of the human faces in the caves, its very unique cave art and makes me think atlantian. http://forest.facts.tripod.com/mu.htm this summer i bought a metal detector and got in trouble with the canadan goverment, i found proof that I am on to something and they dont like it. I found evidance of the 1421 chinese, drake and i even found the skulls from the maquinna massicure. hidden in caves around the islands.

Sorry, that was poorly phrased. I meant use the software to establish exactly which phenomena were visible from that location and when. It might help in the dating. Regards,Gordon http://freewebs.com/thehistoryvault/ www.photobucket.com/albums/y20/Historian
