http://s249.photobucket.com/albums/gg217/WEEWINDAE/?special_track=nav_tab_album Sorry about not being able to link the images to original text. The full power Point Presentation is much more interresting, e.g. it contains a map of "Morrainless Buchan" and palaeo-geomorphology. It also shows how close our find is to the location of the "Rhynie Chert" which has been around for about 400 Million years and is,coincidentaly,to be found at about the same depth below the topsoil as Weewindae II. This is a fact which some would seem to overlook when proposing that "The Glaciers destroyed or moved any trace of palaeolithic habitation". As I am led to believe a lot of professional time has been spent in Buchan in relatively recent years attempting to establish evidence of glaciation. I am also led to believe that none was found in the area my colleagues and I are investigating. Work by Fitzpatrick sheds dazzling light on the glacial transgression history of the North East of Scotland and the existence of its; probably many, hidden horizons. I will attempt to get my textual and pictorial evidence pulled together.(I do hope that the link works!) Weewindae

Hi Steve, I believe that I have just returned your previous communication to me! This was not intended. What was intended was a kind thank you for your offer and I should be delighted to take it up. Unfortunately it will take me some time to pull a draft together as I also have a patented prototype pump on the go and am a Principal Design Verification Engineer with a leading Certification Authority in my "day job".. About 6 years ago I was advised by a "popular" Archaeologist to prepare a paper for "Nature". My first topic in on line Archaeology is based on what was to be my preamble for "Nature". that's about as far as I got. As a realist I know that our evidence and works are indeed "Breaking New Ground" and that they will meet resistance, nevertheless we will press on! I excavated at Boxgrove where I had the pleasure of meeting Mark Roberts. I well remember one warm summer evening standing with him on the chalk parapets of the trenches and looking down on a new pile of hand axes just emerging from the sand and commenting that if "Roger", as the owner of the leg bone had been christened;was here 500,000 years ago then he had relations in Buchan as a species can walk a long way in 500,000 years!. All I can do at the moment is to keep in touch with your excellent site and slowly recap the last 15-17 years of my "amateur" archaeological findings and experiences to you, unless you could advise another speedier way forward; if you have a notion to. Kind Regards, Jack Sneddon.

Jack - I completely understand about the lack of time. You mention a PowerPoint presentation - does this also contain all of the textual information that you wish to include in the article? If it does I can convert it and add it to Online Archaeology. I can work on the article in draft mode so that only you and I can view it until it is ready for publication. I'd also like to publish your photos in the Photo Gallery on Online Archaeology if you are agreeable, so that your work has maximum exposure. Let me know how you want to move forward. Steve White

Steve, Please accept my thanks for your offer. You will have to guide me as I have tried about three times to get the power point presentation to you. Dr. Fitzpatrick and Andy Jamieson are in the loop and are very supportive. Please do not publish my photographs if you believe that the red ink smudges will detract from their pictorial message. Otherwise, please; let us "Go for it" I look forward to your kind reply. Jack Sneddon
