Was Atlantis in Greenland?

Abstract

The fact that Atlantis was a large Island in the Atlantic is contested, even by those who are active Atlantis researchers, let alone the Scientific community acknowledge its very existence. Although nothing was found in the Atlantic Ocean, a highly developed Civilization, later known as Atlantis existed most surely there. We intend to show evidences that point in that direction and are completely in accordance with Plato, mainly through his last dialog, Critias, but also present matching data concerning the very metric details that are given, particularizing important elements in the tale, namely the Diameter of the City of Atlantis, or the dimensions of the Plain, all in strict accordance with Critias description. Late Dr. Ulf Richter's work, "Platos Atlantis was in a River Delta", being a tremendous "break-through" in the Research for the lost Island, is a positive identification, and a guide to the "Underworld" of Atlantis.

Greenland was the Biggest and by far the oldest inhabited Island in the World, the Southwestern part is 3.8 billion years Old, we also think that it was, not long ago, entirely situated in the Atlantic Ocean, further South. We intend to prove that the Empire mentioned by Critias was indeed the Island of Greenland. The number of indicators is huge.

There were considerable changes in the planet that led to an alteration of the continental previous inertia and shape, along with violent events that may have occurred when and after this incident had its own “initio”, and led, to the almost extinction of life on our planet. Photographic Evidences of Greenland are provided in order to unequivocally claim that in fact the Ancient Civilization existed. The Cape Verde Islands, the Canary Islands, Azores or Madeira are, probably, the remnants Critias refers when considering the posterior new realities that came forth after the event:

[...]there are remaining only the bones of the wasted body, as they may be called, as in the case of small islands, all the richer and softer parts of the soil having fallen away, and the mere skeleton of the land being left.[...]

This is probably the indication that the actual Macaronesia could have been "pulled" at the time of "Atlantis Sinking", from the real and much larger makarôn nêsoi that existed. Furthermore, we know that Greenland/Iceland, Cape Verde, the Canary Islands, the Azores, the really larger Macaronesia, is Geo-Morphologically related.

A– The large island of Atlantis existed as Plato’s account reveal, and, it did not vanish nor sank, but, on the contrary, “dislocated” North to where it is today stationed, as the tip of the, supposedly, strong “magnetic body” formed by Greenland and Iceland, the largest "igneous provinces” in the World. until a fragmentation occurred and split up the two pieces at Charlie Gibbs Fracture Zone. If Greenland had enough crust “buoyancy” * could at any given time be able to “slide” away across a melting ocean floor until eventually after all causes for extremely high temperatures at that particular spot in ocean crust ceased, when media became less fluid, halting in so doing Greenland’s 2.000.000 km2 “surf” of heavy primordial rock.

B- At these given moments in time, there were great forces acting on earth, which led to nowadays crust puzzle and tectonics “behavior”. Plate tectonics movements could have been extremely fast at this specific period in time than scientific calculations assume today. There must have been crust "fissures", cooling off and self healing, under the influence of the Cryosphere (portion of the Earth where water is in the solid state). Ice slowed and decreased the explosive heat levels, leaving room for life to continue. The section of the crust (more or less 100 Km) is despicable compared to that of the great mass of the upper mantle and core together, and that once properly aroused by Outside/Inside "stimuli", could cut open the crust's "dermal" and "epidermal” integrity, where weak points that existed there, got broken, at first, engaging many new motions under course. Central America near Yucatan and the whole Caribean regions suffered from these direct and heavy twisting plastic shaping. What remains today could be seen as a sort of "knee cap" kind of articulation, which was flooded with debris giving birth to one of the most diverse Ecosystems on Earth.

C- Planetary crust cohesion was broken and relative inertial momentum was altered to a new standard pattern of geological and planetary behavior. The heating, thereafter, must have been hugely intense, a real "hell" for every living species that survived, and, in reality, a very important asset that eased things in the heating “turmoil” that initiated, was the cooling Ice influence. Otherwise the heating would have been unbearable. Of the large amounts of Ice that were melted, subtracting heat in the “processes”, “little” is left to see. We are finally getting to the end of the “Ice Age”, for there will be no Ice on Earth, unless for some “perpetual” high altitudes before the end of this Century, according to specialists, it is not yet inevitable, but at nowadays CO2 emissions actual levels, we

D- The earth shifted, as a consequence of the "tangential" approach between diverse, yet, unknown interactions with the crust and the whole Planet. The Earth was perturbed by the approach of a strong influence that could also have interfered with the pre magnetic“Polar positions”. Rocky Mountains magnetic direction points towards Asia, but America was once bound together with Africa. It is, then, our belief, that at a much farer time ago they were distantly way separated, as to give the Island of Greenland its right position, and then got closer again, in this last "incident" that precipitated the origin of a new puzzle, which is the modern Continental configuration.
