Hi my name is Bruce, I have an engineering company siuated at Bank Top Ind Est, I know the estate is an ex pow camp, in fact it is camp No 100, my particular unit (G5) was the Italian chapel, I have a photograph of the inside, we moved here in October 2009 and I have been trying with limited success to find out as much as I can, pictres, articles,anything, PLEASE CAN YOU HELP or point me in the right direction. Hi Bruce, St Martin's is listed as a German work camp, but it may well have been used earlier for Italians. Lamb Holm camp in Orkney also has a chapel built by Italians, while one in Ayrshire has a chapel built by Ukrainians. I can't find anything for this camp, so I can only really suggest you try the National Archives or your local one.
