Been busy behind the scenes working on a few things. Added a new Flash RSS reader to the home page - people can select which feeds they want to display. What do you think of it? Good/bad/waste of effort/how can it be improved? In the pipeline: - UK resources module This will be Flash enabled and will allow people to choose a category, select a county, then choose from the results to see an individual record. What are you thoughts about using Flash on the site? Any feedback gratefully received...

Can't believe I didn't find this sooner........... I think flash is a definite plus for the site, Steve. It's eye-catching, easy to use, and gives an air of professionalism. So I'm a fan then! As for improving it, think the best way to do that would be to avoid going over the top in using it, if that makes any sense? Regards,Gordon http://freewebs.com/thehistoryvault/

Yep that makes sense Gordon. I hesitated to put it on the home page because of problems people may have encountered by not having Flash - i.e. they'd be put off straight away. I'm going to see how it goes - targeted data-driven Flash is something I think has definite value.
