 | | 25 Apr 2008 09:00 PM | | my name is Danila, I am Italian and I live in a small town not far from Rome. I am a mature student and I have decided a few years ago to go back to Uni to study archaeology. After a three years course (distance learing) I have obtained my first level degree in Heritage and Conservation. I am now attending in Rome a master degree in archaeology. My main interests are roman and medieval archaeology but alsolandscape archaeology, I am doing shortly an exam and I am studying the "Valley of Biferno" written by Prof. Graeme Barker.
A Few Years ago, I lived for in London for a while and I would be very glad to chat in english and to swap information regarding history and archaeology. I have not gained practical experience in this field yet, except for a summer training course in York GB (St. Leonard digs which was a wonderful experience).
I hope after my degree I will have the opportunity to work in museums or in conservation (even if in Italy is very difficult) but my main project will be to create an association in order to promote the knowledge of my area (Ciociaria which is the birth place of Cicerone) which has many roman and medieval remains, unknown to the majority.
I am very glad I have found this forum and I hope you will understand my english and hope to talk soon with you!
Ciao
Danila
