This is a new section and will be the basis of a database of UK Sites. It is very easy to extend it to include all sorts of items. It doesn't, and can't be configured to display items in a time frame. Let me know if you have a category you'd like adding or a list of items. thanks, Steve White

Steve, Good idea-if everyone does a few sites in their own areas, should build up in no time. Regards, Gordon

So what sort of site are you wanting? Known, published, "unknown"? Because last year on a watching brief I found two "unknown" sites, and they haven't been published as of yet. One is Roman, and the other is Anglo-Saxon/ Anglian.

Buddie - Quick answer, all. So long as you can place them in a county and a category, then we can add them. I have reserved 3000 characters for each item in the database. This means that once I have some spare time I can reorganise the section and give better formatting, so other details can be added for each item. Oh, and a search engine. Steve White

Steve, Remind me; did I ever finish the list of hillforts, duns & brochs in Stirlingshire I was doing for the forum? If so, do you want me to start on Roman & mediaeval? Regards,Gordon http://freewebs.com/thehistoryvault/

Yes I think you did. I just need to get round to setting up a new section in the main site and inputting the data. That would be great. I need to have a think about the best way to display them in the new site structure.
