All I ask is a committed drive to bring a professional web presence to online archaeology. I'm not offering any renumeration - just do it for the love of it.
My plan is to get a series of enthusiasts to share their knowledge and ideas via the portal, so if you're up for it, let me know.

I'm game for that, it'll be good to see a forum that perhaps mixes archaeology and history, and STILL keeps a mainly British focus.
Not to say I wouldn't like other countries' archaeology being showcased, of course, but I think we can agree the British variety is well under-represented on the web currently.

One thing you have to remember - the portal security runs off cookies. After you register and login an encrypted cookie is placed on your machine. It's all harmless stuff. This cookie holds your roles within the portal. Important note: if you are in a cypercafe or a joint of that type, ALWAYS logout after use or others may use your details.
Gordon, I know you're a busy man, but once you get some content to me all get it on the portal and assign you to an editing role. Then you'll see how easy it is to add your own stuff. Once we're both agreed on the content, we'll open it up for others to view.
I agree - the focus will be on UK archaeology, and will be driven by enthusiasts and academics alike.

My last exam's next Friday, so I'll be able to finish some stuff for you after that, and hopefully do more work on one that's lasted about six years so far.
