Hiya, I'm new, so apologies if ths already exists somewhere and I missed it! What about a section for military archaeology, like the Defence of Britain stuff? I posted stuff in another forum concerned with ww2, and got a phenomenal response from people abroad who didn't know the camps concerned existed in such numbers. It could include airfields, radar stations etc...or Roman forts, Iron Age hillforts-it's all military history! I have research I'm willing to post here, if anyone's remotely interested? Regards, Gordon Yours in History

Thats a great idea. I've started with a SpotLight On section, aimed at contracting units, but a more personal approach is good thinking. I'm on holiday till Tues so I might try to develop something after that. The main thing is that it will have to be moderated - got to be careful these days on what you allow to go on your site. But yes, I can see that allowing registered people to post their own details would be a good feature. Watch this space. Steve White

Gordon - For the time being I've created another forum called Introduce Yourself, which you've already seen. Thanks for your continued interest in this portal. At a later stage I'll set up a module on the main site for this feature. Steve White

Gordon - Welcome to the site. I like the idea. How about you send me some stuff through (text/images)? I can easily create another section and add the content myself. Later on I could add you to a role and let you take care of your own section. You can get my email from the bottom of any page on the portal. Look forward to hearing from you. All the best, Steve Webmaster Steve White

Steve, Great to be here-nice site! I've got uni exams in June, so once that's out of the way I'll be able to get something concrete to you. I know a couple of people who are active in aviation archaeology, so I'll let them know this site exists in case they'd like to contribute too. Look forward to contributing. Gordon Yours in History
