Several volunteer places are available on this season's excavation on the Anglo-Saxon settlement and later medieval manor at West Halton, Lincs, which is continuing under the direction of Dr Dawn Hadley and Dr Hugh Willmott, (University of Sheffield). Accommodation is provided in the village hall, which includes a shower and cooking facilities, next to the site. Meals provided. There are two contiguous five-day sessions, 7th-11th and 12th-16th August (volunteers can come for one or both). Cost £75.00 per five- day session.
