Hello, If anyone is interested in the archaeology of the Black Sea littoral, there is a joint Anglo-Georgian Expedition to a town called Nokalakevi in Western Georgia. The archaeology is fascinating - set into the loop of a river, a 20 hectare site became home to a heavily fortified administrative centre which controlled the trade route and passage through the Caucasus; it has a rich history of Greek and Roman occupation with the possibility of it reaching back to the 8th and possibly 12th century BC with the discovery of cult bull figurines.
