Hi, i'm new here))) I'm looking for volunteer field work in the UK for the next summer (preferably june). I'm russian (from Moscow) and i study history (my main interests are late roman period, life of roman provincies of that time and also early medieval period). I have some experience of field work, as i worked at the digs in Crimea this and last summer, but of course i'm just a stupid "worker". Could you be so kind to give me a piece of advice? Excuse my English Katya

Unsure if your interested in this or not, but I am currently excavating at the weekends with my local archaeological Group, Bexley Archaeological Group. We do however, have a training week in August 6th-10th - £32.00 to excavate for the week, including surveying etc. If you are interested, a form can be printed off at www.bag.org.uk. However, please email pips-pad@tiscali.co.uk, who is the site director and he will send you one and give you more info on the excavation. I was there at the weekend and got burnt rotten! Loads of finds were coming up and afterwards a nice pint at the pub situated 2 minutes away. If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to email me. Regards Clare Gillett Field Officer Bexley Archaeological Group www.bag.org.uk Clare
