Hi,

Computer technology is great for re-constructing artefacts or for modelling geographical locations.

Have a look at this page to see some of the reconstructed finds from the excavations on the hilltop settlement at Mellor near Stockport.

http://www.mellorheritage.org.uk/page2.php

The 3d relief map in particular is a great resource to help understand why the location was chosen, the valleys surrounding the hill are much more obvious than they would be on a flat representation.

The animations offer opportunities to understand processes that would take up several pages using conventional media.

Hope you like these.
