Historic Environment Countryside Advisor for Norfolk (REF: CSC06/149) £23,175 to £24,708 FULL TIME TEMPORARY POST, 2 YEARS INTIALLY (SUBJECT TO REVIEW) Based at Gressenhall, nr Dereham Norfolk Landscape Archaeology is seeking to employ an Historic Environment Countryside Advisor (HECA) to advise on rural land-use and conservation issues affecting archaeological remains and the historic environment. The HECA will promote sustainable landscape management practices and best practice for the conservation of the rural historic environment within the county of Norfolk. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years experience in the sector and a good knowledge of British Archaeology and landscape history, as well as a thorough understanding of the legal and policy framework for archaeology and planning, historic environment conservation and the role of key agencies.
