I belong to a fishing forum, and am trying to raise awareness to the fact that we should keep our eyes open for anything archaeological whilst fishing. Modern (carp) fishing is often undertaken at recently dug gravel pits, and to my mind too good a resource to pass up.
On said subject, I was recently fishing beside the river Seine, and found what to my amateur mind what looked like a stone chipped away that could have been used for stripping meat.
Will post with picture once I've worked out how to do so.

Cowley.
