I've added the ability to use Google Local Search on the map. You can now see a textbox on the map with the words 'search the map': http://www.online-archaeology.co.uk/GoogleMap/Default.aspx To use - Zoom to a location on the map - Enter a search phrase like 'archaeology' and click the search button - the search will use Google's search API and return the top 8 records around the point at the centre of the map It's still in it's infancy but it could be useful.
