Archaeological excavations in advance of quarrying at Cheviot Quarry produced evidence for Neolithic, Late Bronze Age and Dark Age settlement. The online archive contains specialist reports, site matrices, photographs and original survey data.

May 2008: Hayton Roman Pottery Database
This extensive database contains detailed information about Roman pottery from the site of Hayton in East Yorkshire. It is available to query online, or alternatively the data tables can be downloaded individually so that the database can be reconstructed locally.

April 2008: Grey literature library reaches 2000 reports
The number of unpublished reports in the grey literature library has now reached 2000 after the addition of 600+ reports in March and April. New reports include 84 from Suffolk County Council Archaeological Service and 56 from Northamptonshire Archaeology. Archaeological contractors newly represented in the library include Oxford Archaeology North, Cotswold Archaeology and Allen Archaeological Associates.

April 2008: ALSF dates added to CBA Radiocarbon Index
647 radiocarbon dates from samples funded by English Heritage under the Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund 2004-7 have been added to the CBA Radiocarbon Index for Great Britain.

April 2008: West Stow, Lackford Bridge archive updated
The West Stow archive now contains the full site report, context/finds database and palaeo-environmental data from rescue excavations at Lackford Bridge Quarry, undertaken in the winter of 1978-9 by Suffolk Archaeological Unit in advance of sand and gravel quarrying. Excavations produced evidence of multiperiod settlement remains dating to the early and late Neolithic, Iron Age and/or Roman and early Anglo- Saxon periods.

April 2008: Lower Lugg Archaeology and Aggregates Resource Assessment
A comprehensive GIS - the result of the collation of archaeological, geological, geomorphological and palaeoenvironmental information - has been added to the existing archive for this project.

April 2008: Stone Age Occupation of the Mékrou Valley Southwest Niger, West Africa
An account of the 2004 Mékrou Valley Project by Vicky Winton and Oumarou Idé. The archive contains images and measurements of finds as well as a report, which covers the context of the research, regional geography, and previous research in addition to the results and a conclusion of the work.
